Hello there...I'm not sure if you can help me or not, but I sure would love some advice! I am the owner of a 1 1/2 year old home. Our kitchen sink is stainless steel, and it is deteriorating before our eyes! It is rusting from underneath, corroding really, and is coming through to the top. The entire area under the sink is covered in "rust dust" that is falling from under the sink. Even the hinges on our doors to under the sink are corroded. This is only a 1 year old home! I had a plumber out yesterday, and he said he's never seen anything like this in 19 years of being in the industry. He brought 3 of the home-builders' reps out, and they've never seen anything like it.
They said everything metal, including everything leading up to the connection to the dishwasher is completely corroded and is about to fall at any time. They've offered to repair it immediately; they will rip everything out and start anew. However, in the mean time, the plumber asked me if anyone in my family had been ill since we've moved in. My entire family has had such weird symptomssince we've moved here, including my 1 and 3 year old children. The doctors have never been able to tell us what's wrong. Is this something your company investigates? If not, do you have any idea how I should proceed? I'm in Texas, and our Health Dept. said that they don't come out to check air quality, etc., but gave me the names of a few places that will, but at a really steep rate. Any help would be most appreciated!

Thank you for your response. Sometimes we do have strange smells, and I light candles to help it. I have a very sensitive nose, so most times others don't smell anything. As far as health problems, my husband and I have had coughs with (sorry this is gross) mucous, off and on since we moved here. The doctors always just tell us it's probably allergies. Neither of us ever had allergies before. Our children have been somewhat worse off. The month we moved here, my son stopped eating almost entirely. He then began to develop several sinus infections, that would leave him with one eye completely swollen shut. My daughter, who was born after we had already lived here for 5 months, had 4 ear infections, 2 sinus infections, and 2 lung infections before she was 6 months old! They have never been able to tell us why she gets so sick. I would sincerely appreciate any help you can offer, including sharing this information with whomever you deem fit. Thanks again,
