R. Winston Revie

Winston Revie, program manager, infrastructure reliability of CANMET Materials Technology Laboratory, Natural Resources Canada, Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, has been a member of NACE since 1965. Dr. Revie was instrumental in the conceptualization and establishment of the Canadian National Capital Section. Such is his past active participation at the section and region level as well as his leadership in the offerings of NACE education courses to regions of North American and from the Middle East. Dr. Revie co-authored the 3rd edition of Corrosion and Corrosion Control with H.H. Uhlig in edition to translations into Russian Japanese and Chinese.

He was also the editor of the Uhlig’s Corrosion Handbook, 3rd edition, additionally authoring or co-authoring more than 100 reference papers and technical reports. In 1999 he was honored with the NACE Fellow Award, and also received the Canadian Institute of Mining, Metallurgy and Petroleum Fellow honor that same year. Dr. Revie received his Bachelor of Engineering degree in metallurgy from McGill University, Montreal, Canada his Master of Engineering in materials from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Troy, New York, and his Doctor of Philosophy degree from Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Cambridge, Massachusetts.
